As a mom and a Registered Nurse, I found that sending my own children off to sleep after reading a captivating, lighthearted story was a fantastic way to end our day. Of course, we all know that reading to young children is a phenomenal blueprint for not only bonding with a child, but it also helps foster their interest in language and learning. After nearly thirty years of working in health care, I decided to again pick up the colored pencil/pen/charcoal and use my Art Studio degree I received so long ago from UC Santa Barbara, (go Gauchos)! I truly enjoy finding the silliest way to tell a story, employing quirky and lovable characters that hopefully children can relate to and learn from.

I currently live near Portland, Oregon with my fantastic husband. I am the mother of two phenomenal twenty-something daughters and two hilarious and inspiring dogs… and yes, one of them is a high-maintenance Bichon!
